The Mercedes-Benz fleet team needed a responsive online tool that would help fleet drivers compare the up-front costs, running costs, efficiencies, and tech specs between different models (including competitors) in order to make a purchase decision.
The tool needed to be easy to use, reflective of the brand's style, and clearly present the information. Behind the scenes, there was a lot of data to crunch, user profiles to analyse and journeys to define.
I lead a team of 2 others to conduct user research, analyse the data and user profiles, and then create wireframes, prototypes, final designs and technical documentation.
Specifically created the key wireframes, produced desgins for the key screens and drafted the technical spefication. I was also the key liaison with the client, presenting the prosal at the various milestones. My team worked on the user and data analysis, infographics and roll-out of the rest of the designs.
My team were awesome and we worked together as a solid unit to produce a slick and polished user experience and interface. Unfortunately in the end, the client decided to go with a pre-made solution provided by the data provider.
Despite the disappointment of the project not making it, I am still very proud of how we brought together a lot of different data sets and complex business / user requirements into a beautiful tool.
